Coventry Woman Charged In Connection With Child Porn: U.S. Atty.

Karissa A. Cave, 21, of Newport and Coventry, was charged with receiving child pornography and possession, the U.S. Attorney's office said.

COVENTRY, RI – Karissa A. Cave, 21, of Coventry and Newport, appeared in Providence federal court last Thursday in connection with a child pornography case. Cave is charged with one count (each) of receiving child pornography and possession of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney's office said. She was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

According to court papers, Cave received and possessed child pornography involving a female toddler, allegedly produced and distributed by another Rhode Island woman, Samantha York.

York, 29, of Warwick and Pawtucket, is being held in federal custody. She is charged with production and distribution of child pornography. York also made an initial appearance in federal court last Thursday.

According to information presented to the Court, it is alleged that in March 2014, York produced a video depicting child pornography involving a female toddler. It is alleged that the video was distributed to at least two other individuals.
