Grand Jury Indicts Newport Man: AG
Ian Barnes will face charges he molested a child, the state Attorney General's office said.
NEWPORT, RI—The Newport Grand Jury has indicted a homeless Newport man for first-degree child molestation. Ian Barnes, 23, allegedly molested a girl in the City. She is described as 14 or younger. The incident happened around July 6.
Barnes will be arraigned in Superior Court on March 21. He is being held meanwhile because he could not make bail.
