2:45 p.m. — Mahamadou Kante, 29, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was charged with obstructing an officer in the execution of duty, reckless driving/drag racing/eluding police (first offense), license or permit required for carrying a pistol, license or permit required for carrying a pistol (ghost gun), and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a crime of violence/fugitive from justice.
11:59 p.m. — Kevin Dumas, 35, of Newport, was charged with DUI with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or greater.

Sept. 21
3:38 a.m. — Dennis Shannon, 38, of Newport, was charged with beaches, parks, and cliff walk closing.
Sept. 22
8:20 a.m. — Ian Collins, 42, of Dacula, Georgia, was charged with larceny under $1,500, felony conspiracy, attempted breaking and entering, and breaking/entering a business place/public building/ship (felonious intent).
6:43 p.m. — Shelia Graves, 58, of Newport, was charged with DUI (first offense) and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Sept. 23
1:09 a.m. — Patrick McGovern, 21, of Bristol, was charged with urinating, expectorating, or defecating in public.
Sept. 24
2:20 a.m. — Parish Perry, 30, of Newport, was charged with DUI of drugs/alcohol (first offense), refusal to submit to a chemical test, and possession of a schedule I-to-V drug less than 10 grams (except marijuana).
Sept. 26
10:21 a.m. — Sarah Romanelli, 39 of Middletown, was charged with disorderly conduct-fighting and three counts of simple assault or battery.
Sept. 27
10:30 a.m. — Aaron Lapointe, 40, of Providence, was charged with vandalism/malicious injury to property, disorderly conduct, and two counts of simple assault or battery.
11:15 a.m. — Bridget Boiani, 40, of Newport, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked/canceled license (fourth offense).
