NEWPORT, RI — BedJet CEO and Newport City Councilor Mark Aramli is using the nonprofit arm of his company to help boost underserved communities in the city.

Aramli said BedJet will donate $2 million to help people in the Newport area who are struggling with food insecurity, homelessness, mental health support, and educational resources. The $2 million endowment has earmarks for local community support organizations including the MLK Center, Child & Family of RI, Lucy’s Hearth, Newport Mental Health, the Newport Housing Hotline, the Boys & Girls Club, and many others.

"The BedJet company was born in Newport and has experienced explosive growth from the talent and hard work of many Newport locals, Aramli said. "All of us at the company feel blessed and fortunate to be able to give back to those in our community who need help the most."
