Newport Police Capture Alleged Festival Field Shooter
Police found Calvin O. Febles, of Middletown, in Fall River, Mass. He was arrested Thursday night.

NEWPORT, RI —Alleged Shooter Calvin O. Febles, of Middletown, is no longer on the run. Newport police said he was captured "without incident" in Fall River, Mass., around 8 p.m. Thursday.
The US Marshal and Rhode Island State Police violent fugitive task force, Fall River Police, Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force and Newport Police departments found him hiding inside a residence at 2990 North Main St. He was held at the Fall River Police Department as a fugitive from justice from RI.
Febles, 21, is being charged with Felony Assault, Discharge of a Firearm while Committing a Crime of Violence, Firing in a Compact Area, and License or Permit Required for Carrying a Pistol in connection with an April 24 shooting at Festival Field apartments. One man was injured.
