Newport Police & Fire Departments Collect Coats For Pell School
A coat drive for children at Pell Elementary School was unable to meet the needs, so the police challenged firefighters to collect extras.
NEWPORT, RI—The police department has challenged the fire department. The question is, which department can collect the most coats for the children and families connected to Pell Elementary School. The deadline is Dec. 15 at 5 p.m. People who want to help can drop off new or gently used coats at the headquarters for both police and fire, which are 120 Broadway and 21 West Marlborough St., respectively.
