Nov. 26

Kelli Ritch, 59, of Portsmouth, was stopped at 7:50 p.m. at Memorial Boulevard and Red Cross Avenue. She was cited for Driving after her license was denied, revoked or suspended.

Nov. 28

Arthur Curt, 85, of Newport, was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting and trespassing at the Stop & Shop. The store manager wanted to press charges and alleged Curt had taken a bag of trash bags, a can opener and a 12-pack of soda, which the manager took back.

Axel L. Franco Mejia, 29, of Newport, was arrested at 8 p.m. near Broadway and Mann Avenue. He had been in a minor collision at 3:46 p.m. in the vicinity of 848 Broadway. Franco Mejia was using a Guatemalan license not valid in Rhode Island. He was cited for Driving without a license (or with an expired license). The accident resulted in a dent on the other car's fender, police said.

Brielle M. Sheekey, 28, of Newport, was charged at 8:10 p.m. with felony Domestic Willful Trespass, third offense. Police allege she went into her mother's house uninvited and violated a no-trespass order.
