The city put out the call for a new city planner, who deals with regulations, long-range planning and much more in a city's inner workings.
NEWPORT, RI — The City of Newport is on the hunt for a new city planner. They're requiring an experienced planner with a master's degree in urban planning.
Basic job functions are planning and project management, creating and amending development regulations, long-range planning and lots more.
They're requiring a recipient of a master's degree in urban planning, one to three years of experience on the job or equivalent knowledge and experience. Applicants must have a drivers license and be able to obtain AICP certification.
