Newport Student Musicians in Running for Video Contest
To win, they need your online votes, which can be submitted daily.
NEWPORT, RI—A group of talented Thompson Middle School students are finalists in a national contest—and they need your votes. Every day.
The students, members of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, recently entered the Music In Our Schools Tour video contest and submitted a short video of themselves performing their school song (see below).
That video earned them a spot as one of two finalists in the Eastern Division, beating out scores of of other entrants in the hopes of being a featured stop on the tour, winning a private concert by a Radio Disney recording artist and securing a grant from the Give A Note Foundation.
