Newport's Norey's Named Best Craft Beer Bar in RI

The readers of Craftbeer.com have spoken.

NEWPORT, RI—There are countless places to get a beer in Newport—or Rhode Island, for that matter— and that includes watering holes that offer craft brews and selections not usually on tap anywhere else.

Deciding the best place to get a craft beer is no simple task. Anybody can pour beer into a glass, right?

Craftbeer.com readers have weighed in on the topic and after much thought (and plenty of draught), one establishment has risen to the top: Norey’s.

Norey’s has been named one of the best 51 craft beer bars in America by readers of the site thanks to its ”world-class beer selection” and comprehensive and competent menu that offers food to highlight and compliment whatever brew suits your fancy.

The ambiance is cozy, the monthly tap takeovers are popular and Norey’s routinely features a specific brewery or a particular beer style. Not only can you get a good beer here, you might learn something new too.

The bar has more than 100 craft beer selections in bottles or cans and 20 draught taps.

Norey’s got its start in 2000. Since then, Chef Tyler Cullen has pulled off what few other restaurateurs have been able to accomplish: tapping into the craft beer craze while offering a non-watered down dining and wine experience.

To check Norey’s out, just head down to downtown Newport and stop by 156 Broadway.
