Suspect Allegedly Kicked 17 Trash Barrels Into The Street: Newport Police

Police charged Joel T. Macedo with disorderly conduct (disturbing the peace) for making a racket on Bayview Avenue around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

NEWPORT, RI—Police heard from several Bayview Avenue residents early Wednesday when a man in a white 'wife-beater' undershirt started making a racket. According to the arrest report, Joel T. Macedo, 37, of Newport, was yelling and knocking over trash barrels. He was charged at 3:10 a.m. and later released. Police gave him a summons for a future court date. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct (disturbing the peace).
