North Providence Man Obtained Property By False Pretenses: Cops
The North Providence man was investigated by the Rhode Island State Police Financial Crimes Unit, police said,
NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — A North Providence man obtained property worth more than $1,500 by false pretenses, police said.
Christian Skawski, age 34, was taken into custody Friday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"This arrest was the result of an investigation by the Financial Crimes Unit and Mr. Skawski turning himself in at State Police Headquarters," according to the release.

"Mr. Skawski was processed and transported to Third Division District Court, where he was arraigned and released on $30,000 personal recognizance," the release said.
