North Providence Nursing Facility Collecting Pet Supplies For Shelter Donation (patch.com) — Residents and staff at Lincolnwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in North Providence are running an “Operation Santa Paws” drive this week to collect pet supplies for a local animal shelter. The nursing facility, which regularly hosts therapy animals for residents, is asking neighbors to donate items like beds, food, toys, and grooming products to support both shelter pets and the seniors who benefit from animal-assisted therapy.
   

2. North Kingstown Man Goes To State Police To File Report, Gets Arrested For Drugs: Cops (patch.com) — A man from North Kingstown was brought to Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence for a mental health evaluation after state police said he showed up at their Lincoln Woods barracks and was later arrested on a drug possession charge. After the hospital visit, he was transferred to the state’s Adult Correctional Institutions intake center.
