St. Mary’s Home Seeks Help Giving Children 'A Happier Holiday'
The home is asking for assistance in spreading the word to encourage donations of essential items and gifts to children in its care.

NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — St. Mary’s Home for Children in North Providence is inviting the community to join its mission to make "a meaningful impact" on the lives of the 400 children in its care this holiday season.
As part of its Angels for St. Mary's Holiday Giving Campaign, the home is asking for assistance in spreading the word to encourage donations of essential items and gifts to children aged six to 21 years.
Staff are seeking donations in the form of monetary contributions or gift cards for groceries, clothing, and activities, according to a news release from St. Mary's.

"Through St. Mary's campaign, there are various ways for community members to participate, including fulfilling wish lists, adopting a youth's wish list, hosting a Giving Tree, or making a monetary or gift card donation," staff wrote. "Every act of kindness counts and makes a significant difference."
Writing that the community's support "will directly contribute to creating a brighter and happier holiday season for these children," staff added that it is their goal to ensure the children at St. Mary's "feel the warmth and joy of the holiday season."

According to its website, St. Mary's Home For Children offers safe, supportive housing for children 6-18 with a full range of individual, group, and family clinical services, as well as outpatient services, special education instruction, and therapeutic services.
