Stop Swimming At North Providence's Governor Notte Park Beach: RIDOH
The water has high levels of bacteria, according to the Rhode Island Department of Public Health.
NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — Taking a dip at North Providence's Governor Notte Park Beach swimming area is probably not a good idea, according to the Rhode Island Department of Health.
The department on Wednesday recommended closing the Governor Notte Park Beach swimming area due to high bacteria counts.
"RIDOH will continue to monitor and review beach water quality through Labor Day," the department said in a media release. "The status of a beach may change as new data become available."
