Pawtucket Woman Lied About Crime: Cops
The Pawtucket woman surrendered to the law, police said.
PAWTUCKET, RI — A Pawtucket woman falsely reported a crime, police said.
Alyssa Xavier, 28, was arrested about 10 p.m. Wednesday on charges of false report of a crime and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"This arrest was a result of a barracks investigation and Xavier turning herself in at the Lincoln Woods Barracks," the release said.

Xavier was processed, arraigned and released with a Sixth Division District Court arraignment date, according to the release.
State police Lt. Col. Robert Creamer failed to respond to a request for additional information on Xavier's arrest.
