Pawtucket Driver Gave Cops The Slip But Later Caught While Walking: Cops
The Pawtucket man was on probation and had a suspended driver's license, police said.
PAWTUCKET, RI — A Pawtucket man slipped away from a traffic stop but was later caught walking along the road, police said.
Enrique Sosa, 23, was arrested shortly before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday and charged with reckless driving — eluding law enforcement and driving with a suspended license, and on a warrant charging him with failing to appear for an arraignment in a driving with a suspended license case, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Police tried without success to pull Sosa over on Smithfield Avenue, according to the release, but troopers later spotted him walking along Smithfield and arrested him.
