Portsmouth Fire Friday Morning On Dexter Street
Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the back and side of the house but managed to confine the fire to one room.

PORTSMOUTH, RI—Crews put out a fire in a house on Dexter Street on Friday morning. The first call came around 9:38 a.m. Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the back and one side of the house. They managed to contain the fire to one room. No one was injured.
The Red Cross said it is helping two families (three adults) who were displaced.
