Portsmouth: Shed Fire Sunday Night On Dighton Avenue

PORTSMOUTH, RI—A fire was reported Sunday night on Dighton Avenue. According to the fire department, the first alarm came at 6:42 p.m. Arriving crews found a shed engulfed in flames at 111 Dighton Ave. Portsmouth sent all its apparatus (Engine 1, Engine 3, the Tower Ladder), and the captain and the chief also responded. Middletown and Tiverton provided mutual aid and station coverage. Tiverton sent Engine 2, and Middletown sent an engine, Rescue 3 and Car 1. The fire was put out by 8:03 p.m. No injuries were reported.
