Portsmouth Hiring Seasonal Help, Part-Time Clerk

PORTSMOUTH, RI—The town is looking fill a part-time position at the Public Works Department and several summer positions for routine maintenance on town properties.

The clerical position pays $20 per hour and entails 15 hours per week. Applicants must be 21 or older, and able to handle secretarial and clerical tasks.

Completed applications will only be accepted at the town's Finance/Personnel Department weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The application period ends Wednesday May 11.

The laborer positions pay $13 per hour and applicants must be over 18 and have a valid driver's license.

A good candidate will be eager to work hard groundskeeping, removing trash, painting and perform other general maintenance.

The application period ends May 20.

The town is also hiring a slew of positions in the Recreation Department, including lifeguards, gate attendants at Sandy Point Beach, camp counselors and more.
