Portsmouth Pizza Shop To Slice Pie Again

West Main Pizza, which closed more than four months ago after a fire, will re-open in a couple of weeks.

West Main Pizza, a popular spot for Little Leaguers and Melville marina employees, will offer its famous slices of pie once again four months after a fire forced the closure of this popular restaurant.

"Busy busy at West Main Pizza cleaning and painting and cleaning and cleaning....." posted the restaurant's co-owner Emily Plumb Rahilly on Facebook Tuesday.

The restaurant plans to re-open soon, with a tentative grand opening date of Aug. 19.

The pizza shop has been closed since early May after an electrical fire broke out in the bathroom area of the restaurant.

Many organizations and residents voluntarily stepped forward to help the restaurant's owners after the fire, including the Portsmouth Business Association.
