Prudence Island Brush Fire: Controlled Burn For Training
The fire department on Wednesday afternoon conducted a controlled burn on the southern end of Prudence Island. It was done for training.
PORTSMOUTH, RI -- Smoke billowed over Prudence Island on Wednesday, but the fire was part of a training exercise, the Portsmouth Fire Department said. The controlled burn was set on the southern part of the island, the fire department said.
