Snow Day for Portsmouth Students on Monday

PORTSMOUTH, RI—Students in Portsmouth have a snow day on Monday.

School officials decided to make the call to cancel school on Sunday evening in anticipation of a potentially messy commute Monday.

A winter storm is expected to bring 4 to 8 or more inches of snow before it ends on Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth is under a parking ban that began at 6 p.m. on Sunday. It remains in effect until 4 p.m.
