$1 Million-Winning Lottery Ticket Sold In Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI — A lottery ticket sold in Providence resulted in someone winning $1 million, Rhode Island Lottery officials said Thursday.

The win was the final $1 million prize from "The Next Rhode Island Millionaire" instant game. Lottery officials said the winning ticket was purchased at KH Mart at 1081 Atwells Ave. in Providence.

The Rhode Island Lottery has begun the distribution of a new $20 “The Next Rhode Island Millionaire” scratch ticket to retailers this week. The new game will offer similar overall odds and prizes, including two $1 million prizes.
