Back To School: Providence 2023-24 School Calendar

PROVIDENCE, RI — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Providence, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Providence Public School District.

The first day of school for most students in Providence is Sept 6.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Providence Public Schools

First Day: Sept. 6

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 22 through 24

Winter Break: Dec. 22 through Jan. 1

February Vacation: Feb. 19 through Feb. 23

Spring Break: April 15 through April 19

Last Day: June 24.
