Calling all Short Stack lovers!
By Cheryl Tudino, RISPCA Volunteer and Animal Welfare Advocate
Hi there, I’m Cheryl and I volunteer at the RISPCA shelter in Warwick by dog walking, fundraising, and social media messaging. I am here to share with you a peek at your new adoptable BFF!
Calling all Short Stack lovers! The RISPCA has more Short Stacks than your favorite Sunday breakfast diner! We have not one, not two, but three Short Stacks available for this Holiday Season. Meet Hollywood, Amora, and Manny, our lovable compact pups. Our Short Stacks are HOT! Pancakes only wish they were this cute. They are perfect for anyone who likes their pups like their pancakes: thick, warm, and impossible not to smile at. What do they have in common with Short Stacks? They are sweet, round, and short, and they might even steal your heart and your snacks. Hollywood, Amora, and Manny are half the height, but twice the love!
First up, Hollywood...
She loves to be loved and loves to love! Unfortunately, this perfect girl was not always treated with the love and respect she deserves and had a very rough start to her life. She, due to no fault of her own, has been at the RISPCA for several years and has spent too much of her young Hollywood life in a shelter. Hollywood would love nothing more than to get marathon belly rubs, bake in the sun outside in a yard like a baked potato and tons of kisses each day! I have a hunch she would even like to maybe get the chance to sleep in a real dog bed or a dreamy bed with her new human! This little pancake would do best in a home with no other dogs and children; she prefers the quiet life.

Next, Amora...
Amora loves nothing more than snuggling with her humans. She is named after love because she loves to be loved and loves to love! She can be a little nervous sometimes, so snuggling on a couch or hanging out in the yard is her happy place. Amora would love to find her loving home and finally feel the safety of love and the warmth of hugs and kisses throughout the day. Occasionally, this perfect gal will get a case of the hippo zoomies, which is pretty much just a happy little march! Amora is super smart and loves to learn new things. When she masters a trick, her smile could light up the night! This gal would do best being your only hippo to love; she would prefer not to share your love with other dogs or hippos. Amora does well with older children.
Last, but not least, Manny...
With a carefree spirit and an absolute LOVE for tennis balls, he captures the hearts of all who meet him. His grumbly noises are often accompanied by not one, but two, sometimes three tennis balls in his mouth and a forever wagging tail. Even on his walks Manny has his tennis balls! A home with lots of tennis balls is not a want for this boy, it is an absolute necessity! He believes in hard and dedication to his sport and hopes to one day beat Serena on the court and to conquer four tennis balls in his mouth. In his own way Manny is an affectionate guy, giving kisses, bringing you his tennis balls, and asking for scratches. Have we mentioned that he really likes toy balls? Stop by and meet this tennis ball-loving hippo, Manny, and I guarantee he will bring an immediate smile to your face, and you most likely will find yourself literally laughing out loud. He is looking for a loving home, a warm bed, and a lifetime supply of tennis balls. A home with no other pets, and teens + would be the best fit for this Short Stack.
