Providence Man Charged With DUI Following Rollover Crash On I-95

The crash took place at approximately 5 a.m. Wednesday.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man has been arrested for driving under the influence following a rollover crash on I-95 North Wednesday morning, reported WPRI.

Carmelo Jaquez, 48, has been charged with DUI, refusing to submit to a chemical test, and driving with an expired license.

The crash took place at approximately 5 a.m. between Exits 23 and 24. Traffic was delayed for about an hour while the scene was cleared.

Jaquez was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with minor injuries, but has since been released and will appear in Sixth District Court at a future date.
