Providence Woman Dies After Car Strikes Bridge In CT
Police say the victim was driving eastbound on Route 2 in Lebanon, Connecticut, near exit 22, before the fatal crash happened.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence woman was killed in a single-car crash on Route 2 in Connecticut on Wednesday afternoon, according to state police.
Danielle Tessier, 51, was driving eastbound on Route 2 in Lebanon, Connecticut, near exit 22 at 3:02 p.m. when her 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio left the road and struck a bridge abutment, police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Route 2 was closed for a period after the accident but has since reopened, WTNH News-8 reported.
