PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence woman won $500,000 on a lottery ticket she bought recently, Rhode Island Lottery officials said Tuesday.

Lottery officials said she won the money playing the "Ocean State Riches" instant game. She bought the winning ticket at Acme Liquors at 1023 Chalkstone Ave. in Providence.

Lottery officials said the woman plans to use her winnings to buy a new car.
