PROVIDENCE, RI — An enormous record-breaking squash weighing more than 2,000 pounds is on display at the Roger Williams Park Zoo Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular.
The 2,200-pound green squash was grown by Scituate farmer Joe Jutras who has provided pumpkins to the zoo for years, according to a media release.
"Jutras, a long-time competitive grower, holds multiple records for his Atlantic Giant pumpkins and squashes, but this year’s achievement tops them all," the release said. "The award was presented at the 2025 SNGPG Weigh Off at Frerichs Farm."
