Thurbers Ave. On-, Off-Ramps Closing For Construction
The closures are needed for construction work on the Oxford Street bridge.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Exit 18 at Thurbers Avenue on Interstate 95 South will be closed to traffic for overnight bridge work throughout the weekend and into early next week as part of ongoing bridge work to the Oxford Street bridge. All closures will be in place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
On Friday and Saturday nights, the southbound exit will close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., shifting all travel lanes to the left. On Saturday night, the right lane will be closed from Exit 19 to 18 to allow crews to install a barrier.
On Sunday and Monday nights, both the I-95 south exit and the I-95 north on-ramp will close at Thurbers Avenue for bridge demolition. Residents in the area should expect loud noises during that time. All detours will be clearly marked with signs.
