
Talia and Andy got involved at Club Smitty on January 22, 2013. Talia's personal goals involved weightloss; long-term goal being to lose 175 lbs. Short-term goal of reaching a size 16 by August 2013. Andy's personal goals involved weight loss as well; long-term goal to lose 60 lbs. Short-term goal of committing to getting to the gym.
As of July 1, Andy and Talia have almost reached their goals! Talia has lost 102 lbs and she is a size 14. Andy has lost 38 lbs and has used AF clubs 60+ times since getting involved.

How often do you two come to the gym?

-We shoot for five days a week. We focus on cardio the most, but Andy incorporates a strength routine every workout. (Talia)
Andy, what has been your biggest challenge?
- Sticking to our meal plan. Not the vegetarian part, but snacking. I like to snack all day.
Talia, what has been your biggest challenge?
- Working out through all the aches and pains. Also, getting back into the routine after having a vacation and a bad car accident.
What would say is a benefit of being a couple who works out together?
- We hold each other accountable all the time and we measure our successes against one another. (Talia)
What's your favorite thing to do when you are in the club?
- The Precore Ellipticals because I'm building muscles where I want them the most (Talia).
-The Expresso Bike because I love all the different workouts; being able to change courses helps make it feel like you are really riding a bike. (Andy)
Any advice you would give to AF members who may be struggling with their goals?
- Find an accountability partner. I guarantee that if Talia wasn't telling me I had to come, I wouldn't be this close to my goal (Andy).
-Weightloss and maintaining is really about nutrition too. If you're wondering where to begin, look at what you overindulge in the most (sodium, fast food, sugar, etc). Challenge yourself to cut that thing out of your life for 30 days and add in the gym every other day - it's impossible to not see results. That's what we did. First we cut fast food, then meat, and now we monitor our sodium intake. (Talia)
What would you say to someone who is still gym shopping?
- The only time you're going to regret about joining Anytime Fitness is that you didn't join sooner! (Talia)
