Smithfield Police Log: Disorderly, Car vs. Deer, Failed to Appear
The following information was supplied by the Smithfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction:

Editor's note: The following is a partial account of the incidents Smithfield Police responded to during the period between Thursday, June 20 and Sunday, June 23:
Thursday, June 20:
- At about 7:45 a.m., Smithfield Police responded to Burlingame Road to settle a domestic dispute.
- At about 11:45 p.m., Smithfield Police responded to 163 Pleasant View Ave. for a car that hit a deer. The deer was in the driveway of the home. DEM was contacted and reported to remove it the next day.
Friday, June 21:
- At about 7:45 a.m., Smithfield police arrested Derek Pierson, 34 on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a suspended license charge.
- At about 7:45 a.m., Smithfield police arrested Laura Derocher, 28, charging her with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
- At about 3:45 p.m., Smithfield Police responded to traffic accidents at National Bank on Putnam Pike, Smithfield Crossings and at 562 Putnam pike.
- At about 11:45 p.m., Smithfield Police responded to Camp Shepard at 71 Colwell Road for a report of trespassing.
- At about 3:45 p.m., Smithfield Police responded to 9 Minoru St. for a report of vandalism to a vehicle.
- At about 11:45 p.m., Smithfield Police arrested Charles Duefrene, 50, on two bench warrants for failing to appear in court on two charges: DUI, first offense and violation of a no-contact order.
