State Trooper Log: Failing to Appear, No Contact Order Violation

Woman arrested for failing to appear on suspended license charge

At 9:49 a.m. July 1, Troopers arrested Jennifer Gavin, age 32, of 96 Depasquale Ave., Apartment #4. Providence, Rhode Island for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Smithfield Police Department. 

Gavin was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Women's Intake Center.

Troopers arrest man for violating no contact order, violating bail

On June 22 Detectives arrested Joey M. Ganhadeiro, age 27, with a last known address of 7 Abner St., Smithfield, Rhode Island, charging him with Violation of a No Contact Order. Ganhadeiro was presented before the Honorable Judge Houlihan of the Third Division District Court where he plead not guilty. 

Judge Houlihan set $1,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled a pre-trial conference for July 12, 2013. Ganhadeiro was also presented as a Superior Court 46 (g) bail violator and was remanded to the Intake Service Center of the Adult Correctional Institution where he continues to be held without bail on a separate domestic related charge.
