3. Check out some Tai Chi today at the ABC Studio at Four Corners Fitness in Tiverton. Class starts at 9 a.m. and costs $15 per person.

4. It's senior functional fitness time with Debbit Gagnon providing low impact, interval aerobic movement with dace. The class costs $2 per person and focuses on core musicle groupds ad cardiovasucular fitness and a safe manner.

Classes start at the Senior Center, 34 Commons, Little Compton.

5. On this day in 1917, 23-year-old Aldous Huxley, future author of Brave New World is hired as a schoolmaster at Eton. One of his pupils will be Eric Blair, who will later use the pen name George Orwell.
