5 Things: Figure Drawing, Meetings, and the Constitution

Five things to start your week of right in Tiverton and Little Compton.

1. Calling all artists! Join the Sandywoods community for a drop-in life drawing workshop session, where an experienced live model is provided. All sessions offer nude and semi-nude model poses. There Nis no instruction, but artists of all experience levels and disciplines are welcome. 

At $14 per cleass, this is a low-cost opportunity to draw, paint, or sculpt live models in a relaxed, congenial setting.

Stop in to the Yellow Building at Sandywoods Farm, 73 Muse Way, Tiverton any Monday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Bring your own materials and an easel or other preferred work surface. Chairs provided.

- Tiverton's Wastewater Management Commission will meet at 5 p.m. at the Comminuty Center, 346 Judson St.

4. Stiff? Jen Meyer, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer & Yoga Instructor provides an individualized adaptive exercise program to get you moving again. The program focuses on gentle strength training, balance & flexibility. Each individual will work within their comfort level, as this program is adapted your your own individual needs.

Classes cost $5 per session and begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Little Compton Wellness Center, 115 East Main Road.

5. On this day in 1787, the Constitution of the United States of America is signed by 38 of 41 delegates present at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. Supporters of the document waged a hard-won battle to win ratification by the necessary nine out of 13 U.S. states.
