Alleged Tiverton Bank Robber Caught

TIVERTON, RI — Cody Toolis appeared in Second District Court on Tuesday to face Fugitive from Justice and Second Degree Robbery charges, according to the State's Judicial Portal. Tiverton police allege he robbed the Main Road branch of the Bank of Newport and was also wanted in Dartmouth, Mass., and in other Bay State cities and towns. Both the bank robbery and the fugitive charge are felonies. No plea was entered on Tuesday. His next court appearance is April 24 for a fugitive hearing.
