Caught In Tiverton: Felon Was Handling Guns At A Shooting Range
The U.S. Attorney's office says the New Bedford, Mass., man was caught on camera at a range. He pleaded guilty in Providence federal court.

TIVERTON, RI—A trip to a shooting range in Tiverton has landed a New Bedford, Mass., man in trouble. Angel Pizarro, 25, pleaded guilty this week in Providence federal court to being a felon in possession of a firearm, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. Pizarro previously was convicted in Massachusetts and served 18 months in prison for carrying a loaded gun without a permit.
According to court papers, he was at the shooting range on May 10, 2017 and was caught on surveillance video handling, loading and firing three guns. Agents from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated.
He'll be sentenced Sept. 21.
