Countdown to Pardon Gray Day
A Country Day At Pardon Gray Preserve is just a couple days away!
Hey kids, just 1 more day until A Country Day at Pardon Gray on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pardon Gray Preserve on Main Road in Tiverton! Â
The event, sponsored by the Tiverton Land Trust, brings face painting, tattoos, sack races, crafts, pony rides, the nature mystery box, bean bag tosses, giant bubble making, "driving" big construction vehicles, building a bird house, decorating pumpkins, playing ring toss and horseshoes, netting ducks and "fishing" in pools.
Have an up close visit with farm animals, and see honey bees in action. Take your parents on a hay ride. Watch the 2nd Regiment fire colonial muskets. Operate a lighthouse, look through astronomical telescopes, grind corn and play Native drums. Meet McGruff and Maxman.  Enter the Pooch Parade. Try an art project.  Tell your parents to bring some dirt (Master Gardeners will test soil free - info at www.tivertonlandtrust.org). Â
