Arrested on Warrant
James Mataronas, of 287 State Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 7:35 p.m. on a bench warrant for failure to appear in district court. Police found the warrant during a computer check after stopping Mataronas for not wearing his seat belt.

A Little Compton resident reported that someone spray painted '666' on a telephone police at the corner of Church Road and Colebrook Road. Police have no suspects at this time.
