Little Compton Police: Unlicensed, Assault and a Scam

No License to Drive

Jairo-Adonias Mota-Ramos, 21, of Providence, was arrested on Sept. 26 at 3:37 p.m. and charged with driving without a license.

After a computer check, police learned he did not have a license to drive. He was arrested and returned to the station for processing. It was at Little Compton Police Headquarters, officers learned he was wanted by ICE on a detainerfor deportation. He was held and later released to Bristol County Sheriff’s custody.

Domestic Assault Charge

John F. Ingalls, 53, of 288 Long Highway, Little Compton, was arrested on Sept. 30 at 8:31 p.m. and charged with domestic assault. According to reports, police responded to Ingalls home after a report of assault. Police learned Ingalls had an argument with another family member which turned physical. Ingalls was arrested and charged.

FBI Scam

An Old Stone Church Road man reported on Sept. 30 around noon that he fell victim to a computer scam. A pop-up window on his computer stated he owed money to the FBI and paid several hundred dollars to clear the "debit."
