Little Compton Race Finishes First Among Summer Traditions
Here's what you need to know about the 33rd annual Little Compton Road Race, taking place this Saturday, July 13.

The Little Compton Road Race has been a summertime tradition for more than 32 years and this year is no different.
Runners from throughout the world, yes world, will gather Saturday, July 13, at The Common in Little Compton. Previous winners of the race hail from as far away as Argentina!
The United Congregational Church will hold its summer fair after the race. All are welcome to attend.
Here's what you need to know before you go to the race.
The Little Compton Road Race
The 4.8-mile race will begin at 9 a.m. from The Common in Little Compton.
The 19th Pike's Peak Races for kids (approx. 400 meters for ages 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12) will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Registration
Registration begins at the Community Center at 7 a.m. Children should be registered by 8:15 a.m.
Registration costs on race day will be $25 for participants and $15 for kids.
There will be cash prizes for the top men and women finishers, as well as prizes in each category and new course records.
Directions to the Race
FROM PROVIDENCE: From Route 95, take Route 195 East to Fall River; take Route 24 South (disregarding "Rt. 81 - Little Compton"). Continue to the 2nd Tiverton exit marked "Sakonnet". Take a left at the end of the ramp and head south on Route 77 approx. 10 miles along the coast. After entering Little Compton, follow sign to "THE COMMONS” turning left off Route 77.
FROM BOSTON: Take Route 24 South through Fall River and proceed as above.
FROM THE CAPE: Take Route 195 West to Route 24 and proceed as above.
FROM SOUTH COUNTY/NEWPORT: Take the Newport Bridge; follow signs to Route 24 North; while on Route 24, go over the Sakonnet River Bridge. Take the 1st exit (Tiverton) to Route 77 South and proceed as above.
