Hello, I am writing this letter today to friends and residents to personally reach out for your vote in the upcoming election on November 6, 2012 for the position of Little Compton Treasurer. Many of you may know me as Chairman of Recreation and Open Space Commission, Little Compton Little League Vice-President, or as your son or daughter’s youth sport coach, but many are unaware of my education and business background. After receiving my B.A. in Business Management from Rhode Island College I was employed in the accounting department at Rhode Island’s largest law firm, Edwards and Angell. During this time I was responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation of trust accounts. In an addition to my accounting background, I also bring vast experience in customer service and marketing. If I become the town's Treasurer, I assure you that when you come into the Treasurer's office you will feel welcomed, and your issues and concerns will be addressed quickly. I chose to seek the office of Little Compton Treasure to bring excellent business practice, including customer service, transparency, and sound accounting and money management to this position. As a lifelong resident I have always wanted to add something of value to the town. We all want to be sure that we use our finacial resources,both the town and our families efficiently.I believe there are opportunities to have improves finacial management produce savings for the town. I feel that my experience as well as depth of knowledge of the town of Little Compton makes me the ideal candidate for the Treasurer of Little Compton.
