Strong, Damaging Winds Expected For Tuesday, Wednesday
A high wind watch is in effect for Tiveton, Little Compton and much of the southeastern coast through Wednesday morning.

Close your windows and tie down your shutters, tonight is going to be a windy one, according to a high wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) today.
Strong and possibly damaging winds are expected in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts through late Tuesday into early Wendesday morning, according to the advisory that was issued by the NWS in Taunton, MA.
South wind gusts could reach 55 mph, with the strongest gusts occurring near the south coast and in higher elevations.Â

As the winds could cause downed tree limbs and trees and may result in scattered power outages, the NWS is urging residents to secure any loose items outdoors and any lawn furniture.
