Weekend Planner: Carriage Rides, History and Gardening
Five things to get you out of the house this weekend.

1. The Mount Hope Farmers Market will offer carriage rides by Commonwealth Farm & Carriage Co. of Middletown on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.Â
When you are done with your market shopping, Mike Waters will take you and your family, friends & neighbors on a tour of the Mount Hope Farm & its trails, in fully decked-out period carriage and costume. Â The carriage holds up to 6 adults, and rides will range between $25-$50 for a full ride.Â
2. The historic Chace-Cory House at Tiverton Four Corners will be open on Sundays from 2 - 4:30 p.m.

Owned by the Tiverton Historical Society, this early eighteenth -century home with its early outbuildings, houses artifacts and furnishings as well as historic documents of Tiverton's rich past displayed in period rooms.

3. Gardening questions will be answered by URI Master Gardeners this and every Sunday at Paradise Park located at Paradise and Prospect avenues in Middletown. In addition, bring along a 1-cup soil sample, allowed to dry out overnight, and receive a soil test. This is an invaluable resource from the URI Master Gardeners for all gardeners and an important part of their Outreach Pogram.
4. The .  The instructor will be on site for beginner instruction, intermediate support, guidance and idea sharing. Please call to register.
5. Dozens of vendors bring fresh produce and baked goods and meats and fish to the every Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m. The church is located at 461 County Road in Barrington.
