Workshop On Tiverton's Planning And Zoning Policy Slated For Saturday

Tiverton is taking steps to improve its planning and zoning policies in town.

The Tiverton Town Council will hold a workshop with residents in the high school auditorium on Saturday, Sept. 8 to come up with solutions to problems with the town's planning and zoning policy.

In June the council received a petition signed by more than 100 residents requesting the town hold a solutions-based workshop to clarify the town's planning and zoning process that is so often stymied by litigation and outdated regulation.

Beginning at 9 a.m. in the high school auditorium, residents are invited to use the microphone to share their concerns and offer solutions that will work for Tiverton.
