Wanted California Woman Captured After Warwick Crash: Cops

The California woman was wanted in connection with a Cranston case, police said.

WARWICK, RI — A wanted California woman was apprehended after a traffic accident, police said.

Cynthia Sun, 35, shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday on a warrant charging her with obtaining more than $10,000 worth of property by false pretenses or personation and fraudulent use of a credit card, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Sun, a resident of Baldwin Park, was arrested after troopers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95 in Warwick, the release said.

The charges stemmed from a Cranston Police Department case, according to the release.

"Ms. Sun was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where she was processed and later turned over to the Cranston Police Department," the release said.
