2-Year-Old Child Rescued From Roof Of Woonsocket Apartment
Woonsocket police say a good Samaritan rescued the toddler before officers arrived at the apartment on South Main Street.
WOONSOCKET, RI — A toddler was rescued by a good Samaritan after the child was found on the roof of a Woonsocket apartment Wednesday, according to police.
Police were called to South Main Street around 8 p.m. and learned the 2-year-old child was already safely back in their mother's care when they arrived, thanks to a stranger springing into action and grabbing the toddler.
According to police, the mother's roommate saw the toddler outside and alerted the mother that her child was on the roof balcony. Police said the mother told officers she left the bedroom window open next to her child's bed, because it was hot in their apartment.
