  1. The City Council’s agenda shows an immediate need to go into executive session to discuss an update on Valley Street. Also on the menu are votes regarding proposed ARAP fund projects and low-moderate income housing. (City of Woonsocket)
  2. It’s time again for the Woonsocket Police Copswalk. The goal is to reach the city limits of Washington, DC, which is about 450 miles away. The goal is to raise awareness for law enforcement officers being killed in the line of duty. It is also a fundraiser.   3. At this point, RI has a COVID-19 vaccination rate of 69.2%. While Tiverton is just below 50%, Woonsocket “is barely above 50%.” There is no telling yet if the recent Autumnfest vaccine clinics had a significant impact. (@TedNesi)
  4. The YMCA is once again holding its Youth Basketball League! You have until October 24 to sign up children between the ages of 5 and 17 for the basketball league. This league will play from November 13 to January 29. (Woonsocket YMCA)
