- Locally based CVS Health Corp. can’t catch a break. After seeing protests for its political funding practices, its subsidiary, Aetna, is now under fire for alleged discrimination. A woman filed a federal lawsuit alleging “discrimination by requiring out-of-pocket payments by LGBTQ couples for fertility treatment before coverage kicks in, while providing immediate payment for heterosexual couples.” (Courant)
- Marcus & Millichap sold the Peters River Residences at 77 Fulton Street. This 36-unit apartment building sold for $4,875,000. The agency did not name the buyer. (Boston Real Estate Times)
- The Bonin Spinning Mill property at 1265 Mendon Road is sold. The property changed hands on August 19 for $467,375. Now, there is an investor “interested in redeveloping the property for commercial use.” While there are no formal plans on record, Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt is clear in stating that the new owner “is not planning a residential development.” (The Valley Breeze)
- The season’s first Northeast Pack Hockey League event has commentators lauding the 2006 birth year. Players from this age group impressed in games played in Woonsocket, West Warwick, and Smithfield. Let’s keep an eye on the next few games! (New England Hockey Journal)
